Verticalização de segundos molares inferiores com arco lingual modificado: relato de caso

O arco lingual é um mantenedor de espaço fixo constituído de um arco passivo, que tangencia a face lingual dos dentes inferiores na altura do terço cervical. Suas extremidades são soldadas ou encaixadas na face lingual das bandas dos primeiros molares inferiores. Esse aparelho pode ser usado para permitir o alinhamento espontâneo dos dentes anteriores inferiores, controlar a posição dos primeiros molares permanentes inferiores, aumentar a ancoragem para realização de movimentos dentários e para verticalizar e corrigir giroversões de molares. O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar através do relato de um caso clínico a utilização do arco lingual soldado com extensões em forma de gancho para verticalização dos segundos molares inferiores impactados. Constatou-se que o arco lingual pode ser empregado com sucesso para verticalização de molares inferiores impactados mesialmente apresentando vantagens em relação aos outros métodos.Downloads
